What About setTimeout?

The Moddable SDK uses the Timer API for callbacks because they provide greater control and efficiency for Embedded JavaScript.

If you want to use setTimeout and its friends setIntervaland setImmediate, you can by installing some simple functions that use Timer.

globalThis.clearImmediate =
globalThis.clearInterval =
globalThis.clearTimeout =
	function(id) {
		return Timer.clear(id);
	};

globalThis.setImmediate =
	function(callback) {
		return Timer.set(callback);
	};

globalThis.setInterval =
	function(callback, delay) {
		return Timer.repeat(callback, delay);
	};

globalThis.setTimeout =
	function(callback, delay) {
		return Timer.set(callback, delay);
	};

Note that if you build using mcpack these functions are automatically installed if they are used in your project.
